The Sloane Club in Chelsea welcome Filmmaking legend Elliot Grove who has launched some of Britain’s most interesting filmmakers. Edgar Wright was his first volunteer, Guy Ritchie and Matthew Vaughn met at a Raindance course, David Yates (Harry Potter) Christopher Nolan and Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Star Wars) all launched their careers following film training courses at Raindance. Ken Loach and Mike Leigh are patrons.
The award-winning filmmaker launched The British Independent Film Awards and Raindance Film Festival and has produced over 700 hundred short films, seven feature films: the multi-award-winning The Living and the Dead (2006), Deadly Virtues (2013), Amber (2017), Love is Thicker Than Water (2018) and you’ve got yourself a world-class filmmaking teacher with indie roots and Hollywood experience. From storyboarding and scriptwriting to fundraising and pitching to studios, Elliot will show you the many different approaches to filmmaking and will ultimately help you get your film made and get your film seen.
