Celebrating 100 years
The Beolab 90 has spent the better part of a decade as Bang & Olufsen’s technological flagship. For the company’s centenary, the design team decided that the speaker’s technical mastery deserved equally ambitious surface treatments. The result is a five-edition Atelier series, with each version exploring a different facet of B&O’s manufacturing expertise. The Monarch and Zenith Editions take wood and metal to extraordinary levels, far beyond what one would normally associate with speaker cabinets. Angled rosewood lamellas flow across the Monarch’s aluminium body in a continuous sculptural gesture, while the Zenith Edition is adorned with nearly 1,800 individual aluminium spheres, each hand-assembled across six curved panels.
