CLEMENCE DE CRECY

20 Years of Running Clementine Communications

Clemence de Crecy grew up in Lyon and spent four years studying law – including a year in London – before completing a Master’s in Marketing and International Communications at CELSA, Sorbonne University’s prestigious Grande École for communication and journalism, and one of France’s most selective institutions. Her early career took her to the CIVC – the Comité Champagne, the body representing the entire Champagne industry – as well as TAG Heuer. In 2006, she founded Clementine Communications, which became one of London’s most respected boutique lifestyle and luxu-ry PR agencies, specialising in food, drink, hospitality and travel. A longstanding partnership with Gordon Ramsay Restaurants spans the full breadth of the group – from supporting the three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and its Head Chef, Kim, to laun-ching Chef James Goodyear at RGR High, Gordon Ramsay’s new venture at 22 Bishopsgate in the City of London. Clementine Communications also supports the group’s Healthy Holidays initiative with Fee-ding Britain, a charity that provides nutritious meals and activities for children from lower-income families during the school holidays. The agency’s travel division works with a carefully curated port-folio of properties, including luxury resorts across the Maldives and Turkey.

Most recently, the agency has begun representing Dol-phin Square in Pimlico – the landmark 1930s Art Deco residential estate on the Thames, long considered one of London’s most distinguished addresses. Champagne has been a thread running through Clemence’s career since its earliest days, and in 2026 she was honoured to be ordained a Dame of the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne in recognition of her longstanding contribution to the Champagne industry – one of the most prestigious distinctions in the world of wine. She also holds the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits. Clemence has always kept pace with the changing PR industry. She launched a podcast during the COVID-19 lockdown and, more recently, has been developing the agency’s thinking around Generative Engine Optimisation. She serves as UK Ambassador for The PR Net, the premier global network connecting industry leaders across borders. Away from the agency, Clemence serves as a Trustee of the Kerslake Robshaw Foundation, which works to open up opportunities in music and sport for young people from less privileged backgrounds. She is a committed advocate for women in the industry, and the Clementine apprenticeship scheme has helped a number of emerging PR professionals take their first steps.
