POLTRONA FRAU AND FORNASETTI

Model 904

When Poltrona Frau and Fornasetti meet, it is not a collision of logos but a dialogue between two visual languages: one rooted in leather, proportion and industrial savoir-faire; the other in illusion, archive and the poetic excess of image. Their latest chapter unfolds through the Vanity Fair XC Middle East Limited Edition, a reimagining of an armchair first created in 1930. Originally known as model 904, and later named Vanity Fair, it has long embodied Italian comfort: enveloping yet composed, bourgeois yet quietly radical. The XC evolution refines its proportions for contemporary living while preserving its timeless character. From the vast Fornasetti archive emerges Mediterranea, a décor conceived in 1949 by Piero Fornasetti. Here, Barnaba Fornasetti enriches the iconic motif with sun and moon symbols inspired by the rhythm of Ramadan.
