On the occasion of the celebration of the UAE’s 47th National Day Anniversary, the UAE Embassy hosted the reception at Marriott Hotel. Among the invited guests were ministers and high-ranking officials, accredited ambassadors and diplomats, the representatives of International organizations as well as the representatives of public and other organizations. The honorable guest was the Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE, Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al Qasimi, made a welcome speech. The UAE was formed on December 2, 1971, when the Six Emirates announced the creation of the single state. Initially, the UAE was a Federation of Six Emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman. A year later, the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah joined the Federation. An integral part of the celebration of the epochal event is cultural measurements covering the whole city and put on to remember and to know the country’s proud heritage.
