Join HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco as he presides over the 3rd Monte-Carlo Gala for the Global Ocean.
Gathering international artists & philanthropists for an exclusive gala at the Terraces of the Opera of Monaco, this is one of the most impressive major fundraising events in the world.
Past attendees include Li Bingbing, Orlando Bloom, Adrien Brody, Pierce Brosnan, Gerard Butler, Leonardo DiCaprio, Andy Garcia, Hugh Grant, Goldie Hawn, Robert F. Representing more than 70% of the planet’s surface & 97% of the biosphere, the global Ocean plays a key role in climate regulation, producing 50% of the oxygen we breathe & absorbing 25% of the carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. The Monte-Carlo Gala aims at meeting the challenge of a preserved Ocean, for the next generations & for our Planet’s future.
For 2019: walk the red carpet & enjoy a cocktail reception & dinner prepared by a star Chef, with performances by some of the world’s biggest international artists. Past performers include Robin Thicke, Nelly Furtado, Gloria Gaynor, & more.
An exceptional auction will punctuate the night, filled with unique experiences, collectibles & memorabilia, plus a selection of fine art from some of the world’s most important artists.
Auction proceeds will support the Foundation’s initiatives dedicated to the Ocean:
The development of marine protected areas
The protection of threatened marine species
The mitigation of the impact of climate change & acidification on the Ocean
The promotion of innovation & the fight against plastic pollution.
